Man arraigned for N3.1m diesel fraud

A 34-year-old man, Okomonon Alex, has been brought before an Oshodi Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly defrauding a company, Mic- Oscar Nigeria Limited, of N3.1m.
Alex was said to have presented himself to the company as a dealer in petroleum products and received the sum from the company under the pretence of supplying it with diesel.
The offence was said to have been committed between January and February 23.
It was alleged that Alex converted the money to personal use and refused to deliver the diesel.
The charge sheet states, “That you Alex did steal the sum of N3.1m belonging to Mic-Oscar Company under the pretence that you were in a position to supply them with diesel.
